Amsterdam-based industrial cybersecurity firm Indurex has raised €7 million (roughly $7.84 million) in a round led by Contrarian Ventures, with Axeleo Capital and Curiosity also participating.

The company said it will use the funding for research and development and to expand its commercial operations in Europe and the Middle East, with the United States and Asia-Pacific markets to follow.

Indurex develops security software for cyber-physical systems used in critical infrastructure and industrial operations. Its SafeGuard AI platform is designed to analyze data from distributed control systems, safety instrumented systems, process historians, alarm management systems and IT security tools. The company says it uses that information to identify anomalies and changes to engineering configurations, protection settings and safety functions that may need operator attention.

The approach targets a gap Indurex sees in conventional OT security tools, which often focus on network-connected assets and activity. The company aims to bring engineering, process, safety and cybersecurity data together so operators can assess security alerts in the context of the physical systems they run.

Indurex emerged from stealth in January 2026 and was founded by Jalal Bouhdada, who serves as the company’s CEO, and Maarten Oosterink, who serves as COO.

Bouhdada previously founded industrial cybersecurity company Applied Risk, which assurance and risk management company DNV acquired in 2021.

Indurex says its early customers include energy and manufacturing operators, from mid-sized companies to multinational enterprises. It is also targeting utilities and data center operators.
